How much do you know about fiberboard?

Artificial panels made by interweaving lignocellulosic fibers and utilizing their inherent adhesive properties. Adhesives and/or additives may be applied during the manufacturing process.

Acoustic wall boards have the following characteristics: It is characterized by simple production and installation under the premise of ensuring sound absorption and sound insulation effects.

Fiberboard, also known as density board, is an artificial board made of wood fiber or other plant fiber as raw material and applied with urea-formaldehyde resin or other suitable adhesives. Adhesives and/or additives may be applied during the manufacturing process. Fiberboard has the advantages of uniform material, small vertical and horizontal strength difference, not easy to crack, etc., and is widely used. It takes about 2.5 to 3 cubic meters of wood to make 1 cubic meter of fiberboard, which can replace 3 cubic meters of sawn wood or 5 cubic meters of logs. Developing fiberboard production is an effective way to comprehensively utilize wood resources.
The disadvantage of fiberboard is that there is a pattern on the back, resulting in unequal surface areas on both sides of the board. After moisture absorption, the board warps and deforms due to the difference in expansion force; the surface of the hardboard is hard, difficult to nail, and has poor water resistance. Although dry-laid fiberboard avoids some disadvantages, the cost is higher.
my country's fiberboard production started in the 1970s, developed in the 1980s, and took off in the 1990s. Since the 21st century, fiberboard production has increased significantly, exceeding 20 million m3 for the first time in 2005 and reaching 49.54 million cubic meters in 2011. Judging from the output of various provinces and cities, the output of fiberboard in Henan Province reached 6.98 million cubic meters in 2011, an increase of 44.87% over 2010, accounting for 14.09% of the country's total output. Followed by Guangxi, Jiangsu, and Shandong, accounting for 12.84%, 9.76%, and 8.56% of the total output respectively. From January to July 2012, my country's fiberboard production volume reached 29,805,100.39 square meters, an increase of 11.3% over the same period in 2011.
